Giving Tuesday With A Gift
Giving Tuesday was created as a day to give back after a weekend fuelled with deals and spending for Black Friday. It’s a chance for anyone, anywhere to give to a cause close to their heart. Last year, Giving Tuesday raised £20.2 million for charities around the world. This year, we’re joining the thousands of charities that ask their dear supporters to be part of their Giving Tuesday.
We don’t just want you to give, we want to give too. Therefore, in order to show our gratitude for you choosing The Nightingale, we’ll send you a free gift with a donation of £5 or more! It’s a small token of our appreciation to you and your unwavering support. It is Giving Tuesday after all!
Your £5 could pay for a day of refreshments at the centre, including tea, coffee and biscuits for 10 clients. Our centre is designed to be a safe space for anyone who ventures in. It could be a client having a new treatment or someone who has only recently been diagnosed looking for help.
Fiona, our Head of Services says that “the hardest thing for anyone to do is ask for or admit they need help. Coming to our centre can be overwhelming because of each individuals journey. To be able to offer a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit makes our clients feel relaxed. They become more comfortable and open to discussing their situation.”
