Hearing the word ‘cancer’ is hard

You may be feeling overwhelmed and struggling to deal with the difficult feelings attached to your cancer diagnosis. Everyone’s reactions differ greatly as your day to day live is changing drastically. From diagnosis, through treatment and far beyond cancer can seep into all aspects of  your life.

Receiving support to deal with the emotions triggered by your cancer diagnosis is a vital part of acceptance and recovery.

Counselling

An opportunity to discuss your feelings openly in a safe space and explore ways to cope with your new life. You may find it easier to open up to a counsellor with conversations you might not feel comfortable having with family or friends. Over the course of 12 weekly sessions, counselling will help you find your own insights into problems and improve your quality of life.

Counselling can help with:

  • coping with your reactions to cancer
  • family and relationship issues
  • exploring personal issues
  • dealing with practical issues
  • reducing stress
  • overcoming anxiety

All of our counselling sessions take place in a private room and are completely confidential so you can be honest and open about what’s bothering you.
