Volunteer at the Nightingale
We greatly value all the experience and knowledge volunteers bring to the charity as without them we simply would not be able to deliver our services or raise the funds necessary to deliver them. In short, we could not do what we do without them.
Some find the experience and confidence they gain from working at The Nightingale a useful stepping stone on the way to a rewarding career, others want to put their lifetime of experience to good use. Whoever you are, there’s a role for you at The Nightingale.
By volunteering with The Nightingale, you’ll be part one of the biggest cancer support centres in Enfield, helping hundreds of people each year cope with the devastating affects of cancer.
What roles are there?
Though we have specific Volunteer Job Descriptions which are listed below, we’re keen to develop all aspects of our charity. If you don’t see a job description for you, but have a specialist skill you’d like to share with us, please don’t hesitate to fill out an application form. We may need you and we don’t know it yet!
We regularly update our volunteer opportunities, so do check our roles regularly if you don’t see something that suits you right now.
How do I apply?
Have a look at our current roles and apply by completing our Application Form and sending it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If we want to take your application further we’ll invite you into our centre to talk about your experience, why you want to volunteer and what areas you’d like to volunteer in. This is as much a chance for us to get to know you as it is for you to get to know us. We’ll then have a better idea of your skills and interests and can match you to the right role.
All applicants are asked to give two reference on their application form, which helps us to gain a better understanding of you.
If you are interested in applying for any of our volunteer roles please complete an application form, telling us why you would like to join our team. Nightingale Volunteer Application Form.
Please note that two references will be taken up for all volunteer positions and a Criminal Record Bureau check will be required for some roles.
