NIGHT HIKE 2024
Join us on Friday 17th May 2024 when hundreds of people will be walking our 5K, 10K or 15K Night Hike route around our beautiful borough, you guessed it, at night.
It’s THE event of the year. We meet outside the Enfield Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield for a welcome reception where you can enjoy some music and our fun warm up to get you ready for the walk. It’s a great way to spend the evening with friends and raise money for your local cancer centre.
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, which means if not already, we will all be touched by cancer. It’s a staggering statistic and we want to make sure we are there for everyone, providing vital and free support. That’s why we hold the Night Hike every year; to ask our community to help us, so that we can help others.
You can walk our Night Hike at your own pace, dressed how you like (though we encourage wearing our favourite colour, red!), with who you like. Children under 12 walk free and your furry four legged friends are more than welcome to join the walk. You can walk in memory of someone you love, for someone who has cancer or to support all those touched by cancer.

WHY IS WALKING GOOD FOR YOU?
NIGHT HIKE 2023 STANDOUT MOMENTS

We had our first Night Hike 15Km runner! We were out of breath just looking at him cross the finish line and our Marshalls barely saw him whizzzzzzz by.
It’s got us thinking, should we add an optional run to our walk?

We’d say this year we had more furry friends than ever. So many gorgeous pets joined us and walked all different Night Hike Routes. Of course, each and every one of them had to get their Glitter Wall photo as well as an Outstanding Achievement medal.

It was incredibly touching to see so many of you wear stars across the finish line. Carrying the people you walked for every step of the way and places them on our wall means they were part of the Night Hike as well.
Our Night Hike wall is displayed at our centre!

We didn’t want to leave the Welcome Reception because of the brilliant feel-good tunes the DJ was playing. DJ Will kept our energy up, even through the horrendous downpour.
CELEBRITY CITING AT THE NIGHT HIKE
The Spurs legend Gary Mabbutt kicked of Night Hike 2023 by sounding the claxon
“THEY GAVE ME HOPE I DIDN’T HAVE”
READ ABOUT WHO YOU’RE WALKING FOR AND HOW THE MONEY YOU RAISED HAS HELPED TO CHANGE THEIR LIVES
A BIG THANK YOU TO…

Athena and the Cherished Events team (which included her toddler granddaughter!) put together the glitter wall and balloon arches. It really gave the finisher photos that extra bit of glitz needed for the event.
They do all kinds of decorations for a variety of events, we highly recommend them for your next celebration.
CHERISHED EVENTS

Andrew Ryde has been a long time supporter of The Nightingale. For our Night Hike he produces all of our routes signs so that none of our walkers get lost and you can see where you are along the route.
This year, we especially enjoyed his fancy dress outfit!
CHAMBERLAINS ESTATES

Stickers, certificates, Night Hike wall, maps, banners. You name it, Brand 10 printed it.
Deniz always goes the extra mile for The Nightingale and helps us get everything printed on time, making sure it looks perfect.
BRAND 10

You can’t do a warm up to over 750 people without having some sort of stage otherwise only 10 people will see you.
All Safe & Sound took care of that for us, providing a raised platform which Spurs could warm us all up, the Mayor of Enfield could say some words of encouragement and Gary Mabbutt could let off the claxon.
ALL SAFE & SOUND
Mumsing surprised our walkers with a live concert as they walked through Enfield Town Park!
