In memory of Celia Cusmano who sadly passed away from lung cancer aged 76. Celia was a loving wife, mum and grandmother. Celia fought a very brave battle for over 1 year. She didn’t want to leave us and everyone, doctors, care staff and friends were all amazed at just how strong she was, she kept on fighting right up until the end. The medics called her a fighter.

Celia was a wonderful kind lady, full of life and she had a huge heart and would help anyone if she could. Even in her final days she still managed to say please and thank you even though she was in so much pain. Our mum Celia will always be our hero.

The family would be very grateful if donations were made to our chosen charity, The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre. Even though we never had the opportunity to use their services for our mum, they provide amazing physical and mental support to people affected by cancer and their families in Enfield.

Thank you so much for donating.
Giuseppe, Maria, Angela, Julia & family.
RIP mum, we will love you for eternity.

Celia’s service will be held at 11am, Thursday 4th May at New Southgate Cemetery & Crematorium, Brunswick Park Road, N11 1JJ. All who loved Celia are welcome to attend.

We will miss you dearly ❤️ from Giovanni, Iolanda, Giuseppe, Carmelina, Mark and family xxxxxxx

God bless you always Celia. You were always authentic and genuine and this world is not quite as bright or vibrant without you. Missed but will never be forgotten xxxx

I have such fond memories of Celia. Her laugh, her humour, and of course delicious food. There was always an extra plate whipped out whenever anyone came through the door. Such a kind and generous woman.

Celia was a strong woman who brought up 3 equally strong, independant, beautiful ladies. Cusmano family events were a lot of fun with so many people welcome, kids running around and of course lots of great food! Celia constantly made sure everyone was ok, that they had enough food and wine and they were having fun. I also remember how much she doted on her grandchildren. She was a true family woman and was blessed to have a wonderful kind, loving husband by her side her whole life. It’s no suprise she fought this illness right to the end and did all she could, helping others and being kind while she was suffering herself. A testament to her character and values. I know there are no words that can provide comfort right now, though I hope in time your memories will provide you with that. Praise to all the staff who took care of Celia this last year in different ways. Donating to this charity is very meaningful, something Celia would have liked. My love to all the family at this difficult time. Sharon. X x x x

Celia was our dear friend, she will be sadly missed and always remembered by Enzo, Monika and Francesca

I have known Celia for 35 years, being friends with her daughter Julia. I have very fond memories of staying at 93 Brookdale when we were growing up and Celia was always so warm and welcoming to her home. She had a great sense of humour and often had a twinkle in her eye while making a joke. She loved her family fiercely and was happiest to have all her daughters, grandchildren and family around her. Working with and caring for special children throughout her life she showed compassion and purity of heart. A dedicated wife to her husband Giuseppe she was a role model to us all. May she rest in peace eternally

A silent thought, a special prayer, for a special person in God’s care. Good night and God bless Celia. XXX
