Miguel Fernandez-Garcia

06.08.1959 – 19.07.2023

Mick was diagnosed with a brain tumour in October 2022. He came to the Nightingale cancer centre in Enfield several times. He came for reflexology, or as he liked to call it, his ‘foot tickles’. Every time he came, he said what a wonderful place it was, and how lovely everyone was that he met there.

He certainly benefitted not only from the ‘foot tickles’ but also from the positive atmosphere, and the emotional support given by the staff there. The centre offers exercise groups, social groups, coffee and a chat, as well as counselling and support.

He would love that he was able to give something back to the centre by setting up this ‘giving’ page, so that they can continue to provide this wonderful service for others who are still struggling with cancer.

Mick, you were a good friend for the 6 years I’ve known you. Always there for me and when Liam arrived and up to the end. I will always and still now talk about you and all the great and funny moments we had. I will remind Liam of who you are and how important you were in his life. We will miss you terribly which includes the video calls and normal calls. We will be there for your loved ones as you were there for us. Much love Monique & Liam xx

Never forgotten, always in our hearts and minds. Bernice

Diana shared many stories of Mick and their family with her work colleagues and although most of us sadly never got to meet Mick, we heard what a wonderful husband, father and grandfather he was. With very best wishes, Barnet and Chase Farm Therapy Team xx
