Where are The Nightingale getting the £25,000 top prize from?
We’re working with Unity, a platform that enables charities to run their own weekly lottery to support their fundraising at no extra cost to the charity. The cost of every £1 entry is divided up with at least half going towards The Nightingale and the rest split between Unity admin costs and the prize pot of £25,000. The prize money is covered by the Unity prize pot which ensures that we do not cover the any prize costs ourselves.

For each of your entries you’ll be randomly generated 6 numbers. Those will be the same lucky numbers you play with each week. So all you have to do is remember them or write them down in a safe place.
Check in every Friday to see if you’re one of our winners. If you have the winning numbers all you have to do is start looking up holidays while you wait for your check in the post!

How does the lottery work?
Working with Unity platform enables us to run a weekly lottery costing £1 per entry, per week, to support our fundraising needs. The draw is run every Friday and each entry has the chance to win one of four amazing prizes, including the top prize of £25,000!
What is Unity?
The Unity Lottery is a lottery platform which charities of all sizes use to run their own fundraising lotteries.
The Unity Lottery platform is administered by Sterling Management Centre Limited, a licensed External Lottery Manager (ELM) by the Gambling Commission.
How do I enter The Nightingale Lottery?
You can enter by clicking here.
You’ll be redirected to Nightingale Lottery sign up page where you can chose the number of entries you want and your payment frequency.
Can I chose my own numbers?
No, players are assigned random lottery numbers when they sign up.
Every entry has their own unique numbers that are the same every week. So there’s no need to check for new numbers each week.
Your unique lottery numbers will also be sent to you via post.
All you have to do is remember your numbers and the order they’re in.
Can I have more than one entry?
Yes! Increase your odds of winning by increasing your entries.
Players are allowed up to 20 entries and each entry is assigned their own unique randomly generated numbers.
Where does my entry money go?
For every £1 played in the lottery, at least 50p goes directly to The Nightingale while the rest of the £1 is split between the prize pot and admin costs.
What are the odds of winning a prize?
Every entry has an equal chance of winning and each individual entry has a 1 in 63 chance of winning on of the prizes.

Are entries eligible for Gift Aid?
No. Unfortunately, Gift Aid cannot be claimed on funds raised through the lottery.
How do you win?
Match your unique entry number to the randomly generated winning number sequence each week (in the same position as they appear).
3 digit match = 5 entries into the next draw
4 digit match = £25
5 digit match = £1,000
6 digit match = £25,000
Why is the direct debit £4.43 per month?
The monthly cost breakdown of £4.34 for playing the lottery is based on paying £1 per week over a 52-week year. Direct Debits for this amount are collected once a month and sometimes there will be five weeks in a month, so the additional 34p is to build up credit to cover the fifth week in these instances.
