The Nightingale Wins ‘The Best Charity To Donate To’ at the Enfield Business Awards

We are incredibly proud to announce that The Nightingale has been named ‘The Best Charity To Donate To’ at the Enfield Business Awards 2026.

This award is a wonderful recognition of the life-changing support we provide people affected by cancer throughout Enfield. It also reflects the incredible generosity of our supporters, volunteers, fundraisers, partners and everyone who has been part of The Nightingale community for the last 24 years.

The Enfield Business Awards celebrate the businesses, charities and community leaders who make a positive impact across the borough, recognising excellence, innovation and dedication within the local community. The awards have become one of the borough’s most anticipated annual events, shining a spotlight on all those making Enfield a better place to live and work.

Winning The Best Charity To Donate To award is especially meaningful because it acknowledges the trust our community places in us. Every donation we receive enables us to continue offering free emotional, practical and physical support to people living with cancer, as well as their families, friends and carers.

We firmly believe that income should not be a barrier for people to gain access to vital cancer support. This is why we provide over 20 services completely free of charge. Winning this award further confirms what we already knew; that our community fully stands behind us and this mission.

Meral, CEO of The Nightingale attended the awards:

“It was wonderful to see so many local businesses and charities attend the Enfield Business Awards in order to recognise each other’s hard work. Winning this award means our supporters really see the value in donating to The Nightingale and see that their generosity truly makes a difference in our community.

Family Based Solutions and Chicken Shed were also shortlisted for the award and I want to recognise the incredible work they do as well. All charities strive to improve the lives of people in our communities and I want to congratulate them on being finalists.”

Whether you have donated, volunteered your time, organised a fundraiser, attended one of our events or simply helped spread awareness of our work, you have played a part in this achievement.

We would also like to thank the organisers of the Enfield Business Awards, Loving Social Media and Sophia’s Diary for recognising the vital role charities play within our community. congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and winners.

As we celebrate this fantastic milestone, our focus remains firmly on the future. Demand for our services continues to grow, and we are committed to reaching even more people affected by cancer with the compassionate support they deserve.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us and continues to believe in our work.

Together, we are making a real difference to the lives of people facing cancer every day.

Every contribution helps ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.
