Welcome to the Spring 2025 edition of The Nightingale Newsletter
While you’ve waited eagerly for this edition we’ve introduced some exciting new services at our centre.
We are always assessing our services and our clients needs and with that in mind we now offer a new complementary therapy; acupuncture. When Fiona sent this news out to our clients we had over 50 people on the waiting list in less than 10 minutes! Clearly we were right to introduce this new service. New to our centre is also Sound Bath (don’t grab the bubbles just yet) and our Menopause Talks with Katerina. You’ll find out more about what these new services are later in this newsletter.
While introducing innovative ways to support our clients, Fiona and Sue (the services dream team) are still running the centre, welcoming new clients and organising all appointments. They do this all while having the biggest smiles and warmest hugs in Enfield. You can see an example of how busy just one week is for them on the next page.
Now for my regular mention of our flagship event, the Night Hike! We would love for you to join us on the night to walk 5K, 10K or 15K but understand not everyone is able to. If you would still like to support our target of raising £100,000 for Night Hike 2025, you can sponsor one of our 1,000 walkers in reaching their sponsorship target. Every penny makes a big difference.
This Night Hike means so much to the charity, not only because it raises one fifth of the income we need but also it’s a night with our community. A community we’re so proud of and one that grows bigger every year. At The Nightingale we lead with love, compassion and care and we know our community does too because over 1,000 of you take to the streets to walk for those in need of cancer support.
It’s not just at our Night Hike that we feel the support of our community. In this edition you’ll read about Kathy Burns and her amazing Half Marathon triumph as well as those in our Fundraiser Spotlight who have each gone above and beyond for The Nightingale.
I really hope you enjoy this edition of The Nightingale Newsletter filled with a few laughs, uplifting stories and ways you can get involved with the charity.
