Our Autumn 2021 Newsletter is now available!

Our most recent edition of The Nightingale Autumn Newsletter 2021 takes a look at three of our incredible clients and their different journeys with cancer, from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. It goes to show that no two experiences are the same. Therefore, no two people need the same type of support.

In the last edition of our Newsletter we launched Stitches of Support asking knitters and crocheters (whether beginners or professionals) to create a square of what brought you joy, inspiration, happiness or a nice colourful design. The squares go towards making blankets for those undergoing cancer treatment. We want to let them know they aren’t alone and they have a whole community behind them. We’ll let you read the article for the full update on how our project is going but it’s safe to say we have been overwhelmed with the amount of squares received and from all the different locations.

We also shine a light on one of our longstanding fundraisers; from yogathons and raffles to line dancing and walks, she’s done it all for The Nightingale. The great news is, she doesn’t plan to stop! Lesley shows us how to be a great fundraiser by using her love of exercise to help others. We hope her story inspires you!

Plus, we give you tips on how you can make donations to The Nightingale for free. Yes, you’ve read that right!

Please enjoy reading our Autumn Newsletter here or if you would like a printed version you can pick one up from our centre on Baker Street, Enfield.
